On March
20. 2019, after the cold, rainy winter; was not only the
beginning of our beloved and long awaited spring, which brought
once again our gardens to bloom and delighted us with pleasantly
warm rays of sunlight, but also the official Spring Festival
called "Nowruz".
At the 64th General Assembly of the United Nations "Nowruz" was
recognized as the official Spring Festival, as it has been
celebrated for more than 3000 years, by more than 300 million
people in the Balkan Peninsula, the Black Sea region, the
Caucasus, Central Asia and the Middle East. In addition on 30
September 2009, UNESCO included Nowruz Day in the list of
Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.

Here at our courtyard life finally seems to be back as well. The
first butterflies are already flying around looking for sweet
nectar and the bees, wasps and bumblebee are busy busy
pollinating the first flowers.
The buds of our apricot tree are the first to blossom, closely
followed by the magnificent nectarine and plum blossoms!
We wish you all a wonderful spring! |
